At one point in the journey, I found myself blocked by a balloon-like structure—soft, yet dense. I knew it was my task to get rid of it, but using something sharp like a knife or sword felt too harsh. As I stayed present, the thick rubbery walls softened and transformed into flowing white curtains. I gently parted them and stepped out into the presence of a very tall Native American (Guide)—stoic, formal, and deeply loving—who placed his leathery hands over mine and said, "Welcome, we are delighted and honored to have you join us."

I came to Roda for inner child work. Although I had cut the ties with my
mother using the Aisling CTT process (16 weeks), as well as used TRTP
therapy to release childhood trauma, there was still a thread dangling
from mom that I couldn't access in my subconscious. I came to Roda
hoping that her inner child work could get at this final straw.
I had no idea what to expect. Even a slight change in the feelings of
guilt that I harbored toward feeling responsible for my mother's
unhappiness would have been a win. What I got however was Olympic Gold.
Having grown up with a narcissistic mother, I was programmed to feel
responsible for her unhappiness. The burden of raising me had prevented
her from realizing her own goals in life (I was not one of these
immediate goals) and I carried this heavy weight despite knowing in my
mind its destructive pull on me. Subconsciously it was there though,
along with deep emotional toxic shame at the desire to fully disconnect
from my mother. I had sacrificed my own emotional authenticity to
fulfill her unmet needs and it was time to let that last string go.
Roda's inner child work is what made that possible. She was able to get
to the final deep layer of wounding that hadn't allowed my inner child
to feel safe enough to be seen. Through Roda's ability to integrate my
inner child into my adult self, I was able to realize a wholeness that I
haven't felt, well, ever.
The results were immediately apparent in my dreams. Despite being a
seasoned dream analyst myself, Roda's follow up dream interpretation for
me was nothing short of amazing. She found things that I had missed. The
very next night showed, without a doubt, the effects that her work had
on me. There were several nights of dreams following that, all of which
continued to show deep subconscious issues being released.
Despite what my dreams were saying though, the real truth is in the
pudding. In this case, I feel different. In waking life I feel
empowered in a way I have never felt before, and most importantly, I no
longer feel guilt associated with my mother.
My inner child, which I previously had been validating and nurturing
with love as she walked beside me, is now a part of me. She is now
integrated into me so that we are a merged cohesive whole.
I didn't understand the difference between those two things until Roda's
work was completed. I was no longer just my inner child's mother and
support system. She and I are no longer separate entities. She is now an
essential part of me.
It's hard to put into words how I feel after this work with Roda. It's
